My first deck was a gift in college from a friend who I absolutely knew in a previous life.
Tarot has been, for me, the way I hear from God.
There are other ways, of course. But if I’m in a conundrum and, more often, if someone really needs guidance, I turn to tarot. It makes sense to my brain.
Three years ago, I started seeing tarot cards in real life. Sitting in the car with a friend who was a prolific reader himself, something clicked. We both saw reverse chariot when a tow truck hooked a car wrong, and it wasn’t moving. We both audibly recognized it at the same time.
Tarot is not, for me, solely a fortune-telling device. Energies change so much and especially now, what is true on Tuesday may be profoundly different by Thursday. Tarot guides you and encourages you to make choices when given the chance because to not do so sets you on a path as well, but one in which you are less in control.
